Chapter 5 work

  • Programming language- the code page contains the code for the guessing game
  • programming information must be accurate because takes action based on the programmer's instructions

18/07/08
Today I have learnt a lot about game maker, I did not get to do my own game because I was reading my platform tutorial but next session I am hoping to get started on the work. This was a fun session, also interesting to know how to make games and how to control the characters in the game.

22/07/08
Today was as good lesson, the tutorials were very helpfull and i enjoyed it. Yet there are some big challenges but these challenges are not really concerning me, I find it fun because it's not like the other subjects you have like writing and stuff (boring). Im hoping to get a lot of work done on Friday and at least play a level or two, ha ha ha.

25/07/08
Today my character can jump, he can jump so high, like hes up the sky, just for a pie. Ha ha but seriously, this tutorial videos are paying off the load of work I am getting whoop (y).

29/07/08
I am struggling, but ill be fine. Anyway, I have made 2 rooms and 1 level. I am getting ready to make a thug which is obviously the bad guy and you don't want to go near him because if you do, your head will be shot, and thats the end of that chapter (clap hand twice).

31/07/08
I have learnt how to make my character go to the next level by creatin a sprite that takes you to the next level. I also learnt how to make him get killed by the bad guys. I have created my boss and I have made them stay one their platform like the Mario game, but you can't kill them. You have to be like a ninja and jump over them and you don't get TOUCHED!!

05/08/08
I have created more rooms, honestly

i didnt learn anything else because there was nothin for me to learn to make my game.. My game is looking fair sweet and i think you would like it.... have a look and see the game and play it too.

SAC WORK

8.08.08
Today i started my SAC, it was easy. Because I have a lot of feedback from the previous that I made which was pretty helpful. I will try to improve on doing much more work on trying to put a fire on someones head.

12/08/08
Today was another SAC session and it was fairly good. I was pretty confident in what I was doing today, yet there were some challenges I need to improve and focus on. I hope to get a lot more ideas in making this game successful and make it good enough for a good mark for the SAC which I pretty much need. I do not know a lot about game maker but with so much lessons on the program, my skills for game maker are progressing and it is paying off real good, hopefully on Thursday I can work at a better rate, but today was still satisfying.

14/08/08
Today was our 3rd SAC session and I was lost. I do not know how to lose a life, in fact I do not know how to create a life. It makes things harder plus getting full marks on task 3 which it wants you to get. Only if I knew how to do so, you would get it but you won't because I can not do so. But I will still try hard to get it but no promises that I will tho.

15/08/08
Today i got most of the tasks done and I am pretty proud of myself. It's all going my way and things are just getting better and better. I hope to finish all next session and you'll soon get to see the full version of my game and you will be surprised and very happy.... I hope so.

19/08/08
I have not done as much... Im getting started on the written task which is the assignment. This is really in my way of doing the program SAC. But I will finish it because I really want to have that Friday off. But in doing so, I know I have to work super hard and thats what I will do on my last session.

21/08/08
Sadly this is my session for the SAC. It was really helpful for me and I indeed have learnt lots about making games and carrer that are developing for the ICT industry. Not a lot done for game maker but I have done all the written tasks. I have to admit this was one of the best learning task ive had in a long time.
